2022 Highlights

Personal Injury

In 2022 Matt helped two (2) families recover compensation for the loss of a loved one.  In one case Matt negotiated a pre-litigation wrongful death claim resulting from the botched nephrectomy of a 34 y/o woman at a Bay Area hospital.  The parties signed a six figure confidential settlement agreement.

Another case involved a head injury sustained by a New York resident who was visiting San Francisco and the passenger of a cab.  Matt was able to convince the client's insurer that the insured's passing a month post-accident was caused by the San Francisco accident and not the client’s pre-existing stage 4 cancer.  

Matt also litigated a San Mateo County broken hip case against the owner of a leashed dog that knocked over an elderly female client causing a broken hip. The case was resolved for $300,000.

Real Estate

In 2022 Matt helped clients buy and sell both commercial and residential properties in transactions of over $50,000,000, and successfully negotiated, wrote, and/or edited the terms for such transactions.  Matt also handled many lease negotiations for both lessors and lessees of Bay Area commercial properties.

Other - Pro Bono

Matt finds the time to help clients who cannot afford legal assistance with their real estate, business, and other matters.
