Personal Injury Cases

Matt represents injured persons on a contingency fee basis, which means that he is paid only if, and when, there is a recovery. There is a thorough investigation of all cases before filing any lawsuit and no frivolous, baseless, or unmeritorious action will ever be filed by Matt Wertheim & Associates. In most cases, Matt Wertheim & Associates advances all costs, and is repaid when the case is successfully resolved.

Real Estate/Business Cases

Real Estate & business cases are typically handled on an hourly basis and occasionally on a “hybrid” hourly/contingency fee. Rates are negotiable and range from $450.00-$550.00.

Hourly Fee Cases

Matt's hourly rate and his minimum retainer are negotiable. For services wherein a fee of over $1,000.00 is anticipated, a formal written fee agreement will be prepared, as is required by the California State Bar.

Mediation Rates

$400.00 per hour for two (2) parties; $500.00 per hour for more than two (2) parties. Split as instructed by the parties. Four (4) hour minimum deposit to include one (1) hour for reading of briefs with unused time refunded to the parties. No administrative or set-up fees.
